What is robotics? Here at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering we believe robotics is a combination of many different aspects, including engineering, aesthetics, programming, and much more. The wiring running through the robot shows the use of electrical engineering. The theme, design, and colors of the robot convey the use of aesthetics. What the robot does, and how it behaves show the use of skillful programming. These qualities of robotics tend to stick out to people the most, however there are many other aspects involved in the formation of a robot, as well. By having a robotics team, students are able to undergo a hands on experience with the engineering design process, and learn more about robots themselves. Not only that, it helps students learn how to think thoroughly about challenges they may face, and how to formulate creative and innovative solutions for these problems. There are countless robots around the world, all of them are engineered for a different purpose. Yet, they do have one goal in common, to work together with humans and create a finer world for us to live in.
